Tomorrow..and the panera bread saga....

So some of my friends on the island asked me to bring up some cinnamon crunch bagels for them.. This morning I called and ordered 2 dozen..was told that they would be boxed up and waiting for me.. Went to the store 20 mins later.. Was greeted..with the usual how can I help you stuff..told them picking up order..they took my card..rang it up..then panic set in.. They had sold my order..To which I responded I HAVE JUST PAID FOR IT..
SO...after a few mins of not too nice comments from me regarding another Panara Bread scam I saw happen to my friend Margie..The manager comes out..says they are sorry and they will have them for me TOMORROW.. NO good says I.. I want them today.. "So how can you make me happy about this?" The manager and the baker and the sales person are now staring at me like deer in the headlights of a tractor trailer...

"GIVE me what ever cinnamon crunch bagels you have and make up the rest of the two dozen with a mix of what you have and give me my money back"..Says I.. by now there is quite a line behind me..and I am telling everyone what has happened..and the story about the lobster sandwich over charge..... So the manager refunds my charge packs up two dozen bagels including the 9 cinnamon crunch they have and says to me.. So sorry "Meg" I hope the rest of your day is better.. Thanks says I and off I go with two dozen free bagels.. YES .. LOL

Cleaned the downstairs..this afternoon I am going to Westfield..Credit Union stuff then to Chelsey's for dinner.. I am pretty much packed..just last min..spices..towels..stuff like that.. Pack the cooler..snacks for the trip..remember my passport so I don't have to turn around swearing when I hit the MASSPIKE like last summer..

So JULIE or J J if you read this.. I NEED J J 's new cell phone number.. I seem to remember that he has changed it. I'll call when I am on the Island so you can know if I'll make it for fireworks.. I think it should happen..

Anyway I am crazed here..Always get this way.. I 'll be fine though..once i get on the road. I get my head spinning..with thoughts about everyone and it makes me crazy..... CRAZY I SAY!!!!...

Am I there yet???

Sunday morning.. Last night I was awake half the night ..because of pain in my stupid toe.. It is almost healed but at night it feels like someone is sticking hot needles into it.. Not a good feeling.. Anyway this too will end.. Today Gabe and Amy are leaving for their vacation.. They are going to stay at The Harbor Side in Boston and then head out to the cape for a few days.. I hope they have a wonderful time.. They have worked very hard planning this out..

Chelsey and Brian were on the Cape yesterday and are due back later today.. Tomorrow they are coming here for dinner..and to say "see-ya" till they come up in August. I will miss MY KIDS and my grand daughters!!! I tear up just thinking about it.. Oh well there is plenty to keep me occupied on the island...

Last night at the house a lovely family from Texas gave a 65th Birthday Party for their Mom..It was amazing.. They hired a Jazz trio and I was blown away.. I open the door up here in the apartment poured myself a glass of wine and leaned back and listened to hot Jazz..I love it!!!


So that's the news from here.. I am "almost " packed.. There is another big party here this afternoon.. a grad party not as elegant as last night.. but a full house again.. More or a beer and pizza crowd than Jazz and fine wine.. LOL

So yesterday I packed..But today I am going through it all ..I think I have at least 70 tee shirts..What was I thinking??? One a day for two months??? Good grief.. I am going to look at them again today and do some "weeding"..

Big Party here later..then break down and set up for another BIG PARTY tomorrow afternoon..

Chelsey and Brian have gone to the Cape for the weekend..and Tomorrow Gabe and Amy are leaving for their holiday. I won't get to see Gabe before I leave so I am thinking I may jump up to Hamp later for a HUG.. I'll see how the day goes.

This weather is really beginning to play on me.. The sun comes out..you think YES..then back come the clouds and the rain.. I am hating June this year. The island has had a run of some lovely days..but they are talking showers for early next week.. Hope they are gone when I get there..but I really don't mind a bit of cloudy foggy days..The sea is lovely no matter. I'll be taking photo's daily to show you what I am seeing..

Today I am pulling out the suit cases..I'll pack in the clothes I won't need before next Wednesday AM. and get a jump on things. I've got the sheets and towels in plastic bags..almost ready..have to add more towels of course..Can never have enough of them. Monday I will go to the CU and organize $$..Tuesday load the truck..Shoot I can't wait to get the frig outta here!!!

OOPS I also have to order up 3 dozen bagels for my friends.. Peb's said that I would be checked at the Confederation Bridge and if I didn't have the bagels I wouldn't be allowed on the island. So who do they want to see me???? Or their Cinnamon Crunch bagels.. LOL

Last night was so sweet.. We all went out to eat at Packard's..had a BISON BURGER and a STELLA..Yeah..what's better than that??? Then headed back to Gab and Amy's place for cake, wine and conversation..It was a lovely evening..

Well thinking ahead now..by this time next week I will be in Freeport, Me..having breakfast..the island will be pulling me closer and closer.. J J and Julie will be waiting at the dock in Souris..to take the boat out into the harbor to watch the fireworks and have a cook-out on deck.. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM!!!!!!!

So today I am going to help one of the trustees hang some drapes in her living room. ( don't ask... ) aside from that nothing.. Looking forward to relaxing tonight and that is all!!! Yesterday I started..I pulled together the sheets, pillow cases and some of the towels. Today I am going to start on the spices..medicines and stuff like that. I got Molly's painting framed and ready for its new home and it looks lovely..I am going to hang in in my bedroom..next to a Wallace Nutting Photo that my Dad bought for Mom on their wedding trip ..It is of birch trees like Molly's painting..pictured here...



Tonight I'm heading up to Northampton to spend the evening with Amy and Gabe.. Tomorrow is Amy's birthday...so we are celebrating a day early. I have to bake her a chocolate cake..with whipped cream and fresh berries on top...HER FAVORITE..I just love her to pieces.. Later this week I will head down to spend some time with Sara before she has her surgery on Friday. I hate leaving her with all that she is facing..but I trust that between her family and friends she will find the strength to go on. I wish I could just bundle her up and bring her with me to PEI.. Unfortunately her Dr's would not think kindly of that idea..

THE DAD'S

Last night was fun. I love the enthusiastic way the young musicians of Northampton take to the stage. I know that Gabe has been thinking about the show for months now..They were pumped. There was a nice crowd that showed up and stayed till 11:30PM when the Dad's finally took the stage. Two groups came before..The first "The Novels'" was good and obviously have a fan base that follows their work.. The second group "The Diamond Mines" from Boston had a great sound.. came out with a loud wall of noise...Then went into a long stretch of wonderful vocals. They were very talented and very troubled by the way the sound came across..It was a shame..I cannot understand why a so called "Sound Technician" will not make an effort to present the music with quality. I know that other bands who play that club would demand and get quality sound.. Too bad it isn't consistent.

The highlight of the evening was when Gabe asked his Dad to join "some of the Dad's" on stage for a set of traditional tunes..Again the sound was awful nothing from monitors which made it difficult for the musicians to hear each other..I loved it in spite of the sound quality ... : )

Then came The DAD'S..they rocked the house with a wall of music and fun..I love these guys and gals.. They have such fun playing together..

It was a great night of music and friendship..

Today I have to pull out stuff for the island and start getting organized.. Aside from that not much. I wish you all a lovely Monday..Lets hope this lousy weather will be gone from now on!!! Stay safe now and watch out for pirates..Remember whatever you do..

Happy Father's Day to all you DAD'S....I am remembering some crazy Father's Day with my Dad..when I made him breakfast at 6:00AM on the only day he could sleep in. Ahh what he had to put up with. I came along much later in his life.. my brother and sister were out of the house before I entered 8th grade..so I was quite a burden to him and my mother..

Oh well I give them some good times too..Once in a while anyway.. LOL

So today I am heading up to Northampton to hear Gabe's band play at The Eleven's..looking forward to spending time with him and his gang of hooligan's..I love their music..It is so much fun to listen too and watch..

9 days left..I am getting very antsy. About this time i start worrying about stuff.. Like who will be left behind down here. Will I be able to help them via inter-net and phone. I worry about Sara, Chelsey and the girls..Gabe and Amy. I guess I should just let go...but I can't.. That's just me. Thank Goodness I will at least be on line at the house this summer. That will ease my mind lots. I can instant message people..and send and receive photo's ..so that's cool. Chelsey and company will be up in August..Susan and Daniela will be up in August..and The Darrow's will be up in July..So most of my closest will be there part of the time. It will be fun and a much needed change.

11 days...

Last night it was head up to Blandford to see my friends "The Darrow's"..Had a lovely dinner..got to hug one of the baby lambs..played with Raymond..laughed a lot..and planned their trip up to PEI..Well sort of planned. It's hard to get Phil to commit. Looks as though they will all head up on Tuesday July 14 and stay till July 21..BUT Zoe wants to come up on July 10..so there is still room for debate.. It may come down to two cars..with two loads of people.. BUT THEY ARE COMING and that is what is important. It's been a few years since they have come up..and I have missed them!!! Pam and I have a blast..we always manage to get into some kind of trouble.. : )....and when you add Julie, Donna and Margie to the pot well LOOK OUT EASTERN KINGS!!!

Today I am babysitting Sam again..my last time till next fall : (..I'm going to miss him.



He has grown so much and is now just full of giggles and grins.. So sweet.. It seems like yesterday when we were at the Bronx Zoo and Hava announced that she and Matthew were going to have a baby!! One year ago..too much.. So much has happened since then..It is amazing what a year can do.

So my friends..I must go now and get busy here..You all have your selves a happy Friday. It is still raining here and it looks like it will continue for 45 days.. Today I am babysitting Sam this afternoon..then heading up to Blandfird for the evening..Spending some time with The Darrow's and planning their trip to PEI.

Should be a good time. I'm thinking I may have to take a boat up to Blandford though..THIS FRIGGIN RAIN is making me nuts!!!

Last night I went to watch Brian's baseball team..they won.. Got to see his parents one more time before they head back to Florida.. Their flight left this morning about 11:00 so they are well on thier way back..Nice couple..

Aside from this news all is well. Looking forward to tonight..a bit of a get together on Saturday night with Susan and a few other folks.. Sunday is the concert with Gabe's band..Next week I am going to spend some time with Sara ..have dinner with Amy on her birthday..and then PACK!!!! I can't wait to get outta here!!!!

Wednesday..it is cool and gray here again. They are saying we will get sun..but maybe not until August.. LOL... Good grief I am getting so tired of this lousy weather. Last night here at the house Agawam's mayor announced her candidacy for the next election. It was interesting to see the people who showed up..a mix of the "Politico's" in town and folks like me. Some of them arrived in to die for cars..and were dressed in to die for clothes..and then there was me..looking a bit like a "donkey trainer". I love watching people at things like that..they remind me of peacocks..all puffed up strutting around saying "look at me". Silly stuff.

Today I'm heading to Westfield (if it doesn't rain) to see Brian's parents and watch his baseball game. His folks are heading back to Florida tomorrow afternoon. I think they had a nice visit and had a chance to get to know Chelsey and the girls a bit.
I am also going to start making my "DO NOT FORGET" list..for Packing the truck. Last year I forgot the passport..and had to turn around ..swearing a lot ..Do not want that to happen again...

I assume that by now Vic is settling in on Cape Breton. He left a few days back..If you can get to a computer Vic..and read this..know that I wish you safe journey and a wonderful stay. Another news flash recieved from PEI is that Brady Chaisson is now "crawling"... Way to go Brady.. now the fun begins.. Two babies to chase at the fiddle grounds.

Tuesday..14 more days...

Last night I headed up to Charlemont to visit my Deerfield buddy Esther and her husband. What a beautiful home they have. It is set right at the base of a ski area so you are looking at the green mountains. Her gardens are to die for..they surround the house..Poppies, iris, daisies, peony's..forget-me-not's.. Just beautiful. They even have a water garden complete with gold fish and Koi and a heated in ground pool!

We sat down to eat at a table in front of large picture window that over looks a meadow and the green mountains beyond. As we were eating a flock of about 8 -10 wild turkey's came right up to the window and 7 deer were feeding in the meadow...Amazing..What a spot..

Today I have to head to Westfield to the Credit Union and the grocery store. Later today Agawam's mayor..(who has caused quite a stir recently) is making an announcement here at the house. So when I get back from my jaunt I have to weed the front gardens and make the house look spiffy for the TV and press. So that is my day..

I heard from several sources yesterday that there is going to be quite an amazing performer at the Fiddle Festival this year. Natalie MacMaster and Mac Morin will be in attendance.. also buzzing that Ashley MacIsac and J P may show their faces..What a weekend. On top of all that Gordie Sampson will be on the island..can we hope...that he will make a surprise visit.. I wonder.. I know I am going to be front row center at the Confed Center for Gordie's show Sunday night.. Would NOT miss that!!!

Monday morning and the sun is out

Today I am heading up to Charlemont, Ma to visit my friend Esther. We worked together at Historic Deerfield and shared lots of laughs.. A few years back she made the journey up to PEI and spent a week at Red Point Campground just down the road from the house in Kingsboro. Since that time our lives have gone through lots of changes some good some terrible. Her husband is now living with the beginning stages of Alzheimer's. Not what had been planned for sure. The dream was to hop into the motor home they purchased and travel. Proving once again my theory..live everyday as if it is your last. Never pass up the chance to have fun, or the chance to make someone else happy.

Yesterday Chelsey and Brian through Brian's folks an amazing 50th anniversary party. We sat down last week and planned it all out. The hall looked beautiful..the food was delicious and most of all Bev and Bob were thrilled. They had the chance to visit with friends and family and celebrate 50 years together. Quite an accomplishment now.

So 15 more days..I am getting really anxious. Can't wait to get away from here. I will miss Chelsey, Brian and the girls of course..but they will be up in August..The bad thing is that Gabe and Amy won't be up ..Thank goodness I have a lap top..Now I can at least keep in touch daily..on line. I am going to try and convince Gabe to get a web cam so we can talk that way too. Anyway got to go and get some work done here. Lots to clean up down stairs.. 50 years..good grief...

Today Chelsey and Brian are throwing a party for his parents who "celebrate" 50 years together. Quite a milestone these days.

Last night was Morgan's recital..she was so cute. Just danced her heart out as one of the most beautiful butterflies I have ever seen.



This week is going to be a busy one. But the good thing is that in just 16 more days I'll be in KINGSBORO!!!

Saturday and I am on my new Laptop

It is beautiful today. The SUN IS BACK!!! Morgan has her dance recital tonight.She is pretty excited. Getting her hair done today and feeling pretty special. After the performance every one is coming back here and we are setting up the Hall for tomorrow's anniversary party for Brian's Mom and Dad.

This is so cool I really love typing on this machine. It's so smooth and fast! Last night I played around with it and found some of the features. Windows Vista is a new experience..But once you get the hang of it it's super.

This morning I have to meet with a lady who is having a party here in August. Just have to get everything set in stone before I leave. Richard will be meeting her today so they can talk as the summer goes on.

High Speed comes to Kingsboro...

Last night I got my new Laptop. Went with the powerful HP..with all the bells and whistles. It kinda scares me but I'll get the hang of it before I land on PEI. Yesterday I contacted BellAliant and they are coming on July 2 to hook up the internet for me. YES!!! No more frantic trips to the library...and the community center..

It is still gray and damp here..although right at the moment the sun is trying to peek through. I hope we get some sun soon or people are going to start getting very cranky as well as moldy.

This weekend is going to be a crazy one.. In fact the week ahead is crazy too. Tonight Morgan has the dress rehearsal for her dance show.. Tomorrow night the recital. After the program everyone is coming back here we are decorating for the anniversary party on Sunday. Monday I am going up to Charlemont to visit my friend Esther, Tuesday there is a political event here..Wednesday day heading up to Blandford to visit my friends the Darrows.. Next Sunday is the big father's day show in Hamp with Gabe's band "The Worlds Greatest Dad's" Soooooo It is busy here.

I think I have gotten all the leg work done for paying bills on line and such.. Time will tell..I am only about 2 miles ahead of the car now..with my laptop under my arm.. LOL

Today I am spending the afternoon with Sam again.. He is getting so darn cute. Laughing all the time..and kicking those chubby legs like crazy. He is so funny. I told hava that she will have to get a webcam so I can see him on line this summer. I'm going to miss the little guy..

Today I am heading over to babysit Sam..then to Westfield to pick up some things for the 50th anniversary party on Sunday. I am racking my brain trying to decide on which laptop to get. I have narrowed things down to A Toshiba..a Compaq and a HP..The HP is a monster machine with all the bells and whistles..but do I really need that? The other two are basic laptops that will let me do what I need and want to do.. and they are $200 cheaper. I have to take this plunge soon.

If anyone out there reads this and has ideas or suggestions..Please be in touch. The HP is model # HPG60-235DX The Toshiba is Model L305-55944 and the Compaq is Model CQ60-211DX..I would appreciate input if anyone has any. I cannot afford a MAC Vic..LOL

Sorry this is late..I got side tracked this morning and then had to head to Sam's. Now it is nearly 5:00..I have just returned from my day with babies..and a trip to Westfield..Tonight I am going to BEST BUY..to be attacked by a heard of aggressive obnoxious sales people whom I will annoy.. LOL

It's raining today..dark..thundering..pouring rain. I hope that it clears by this evening so the Yankees can whoop the Redsox at Fenway. LOL

Anyway yesterday I got some sad news from my niece Sara..Sara has been battling ovarian cancer now since January. She has been on Chemo now since February. A few weeks back she had a test done to see if the cancer was stopped..Unfortunately it is spreading..It is now into the wall of her cervix and throughout her intestines. Not good. She will be having surgery I assume a total hysterectomy and will undergo massive chemo ..I hate this she is only 25 years old..I cannot bear to think about the suffering she has already gone through and now this. I just think it is not fair. A great big WHY??? That cannot be answered. I feel bad for her also because she is feeling that she is being punished by God..That is ridiculous..but she has it in her head because of the religious group her family follows. She thinks that God has a plan and that everything happens for a reason. While I share that feeling that some things happen for a reason... I do not think that "God" is some father figure sitting on a cloud pointing his finger at people saying hummm I think I'll give you cancer. I believe that there is a force that is good, an energy that we can grab onto..There is also an equal negative energy that we need to fight.
If we fill ourselves and our lives with positive thoughts and give out positive energy to those we meet then our lives will be good..If we dwell on negative thoughts then we will be filled with anger and pain. I opt for the positive..and I am thinking positive thoughts about my beautiful, smart, niece..I wish her nothing but the best..I wish her healing and health.

Last night I watched the Tony Awards and once again remembered why I LOVE NYC! I got on the computer last night and told Margie that we have to GO to see at least one of those plays in the fall. You know we always say things like "they are so expensive"..and "I can't afford that" but at the end of the month we have easily spent that much on what.. nonsense stuff.. So today I went on line and looked at tickets for Billy Elliott and Next to Normal..the plays I want to see.. Decent seats are around $150 and up. So you know what..I say the heck with being "thrifty" I am buying seats maybe even for BOTH plays. I'll take the train in and meet Margie and we will have ourselves a blast and a half!!

Today I have to head to the grocery store..after I meet with someone who is renting the house later this month. This week is a busy one starting mid week.. babysitting..recitals and a 50th anniversary party .. I'll get through it all ..because in 22 days I'll be OUTTA HERE for 2 MONTHS!!!!

Last night I attended Molly's gymnastic show..She did a great job. Molly however HATES having people watch her..so she was a bit out of sorts. The photo's give you a peek at what she did and the video is another.

It was great fun..After the show we all went to eat at a nice little pub in Connecticut. Nice night out...Didn't sleep again last night. I just cannot breathe the air was so still and it was muggy and hot. Not my favorite weather.. Oh well today is another chance to get it right!

It's a beautiful day!!! I am so bummed that I hurt my foot!!! I would be going for a walk right now..A LONG WALK.. But now it hurts just to walk to the kitchen.. F****..I am so cranky..GRRRRRRRRR.

Tonight is Molly's gymnastic demonstration. Looking forward to spending the evening with Chelsey and Brian.. We are going to a little pub in Granby, Connecticut after the event for dinner. Should be a good time.

Just got back from having a cappuccino at the Deli next door.. I was going to walk over but got about ten feet down the driveway and could not walk any further. Beth drove..good grief I am usually the one telling her WE ARE WALKING..I hope this gets better quickly or there may be several violent attacks..I get really cranky when I am not at my best.

25 more sleeps!!!!!!!!!!

I am so ready to get the heck out of here!!! Didn't sleep well again last night. There is just no air..I can't sleep unless I can feel air moving..In my house on PEI I made sure when it was built that windows were placed so air was moving in each room. Sometimes it's like a gale force wind going on..Ahhhh I love the winds on PEI.

Babysitting for Sam again this afternoon.. Tomorrow evening it is Molly's gymnastic recital. Then out to dinner with Brian and Chelsey. Looking forward to it. I have to figure out something unique to give to Molly. I don't want to get flowers. I'm thinking...it has to be something special for a special rising star!!!

I am feeling the need for another NOHO fix. Maybe I'll head up there this weekend also. I am just so antsy.. I want to be HOME on PEI NOW!!!!

My foot is still a but sore.. but It will be better soon. I just get so friggin cranky when I can't move around like I want to..say at warp speed like usual. I HATE IT!!! I am going to cut this short today. This morning is dragging like crazy for me.. I am tired and it's only 10:30..

Thursday..Sammy day

So I got up at around 6:00 this AM and proceeded to walk into the foot of the bed frame. I believe I have broken one of my toes. THE PAIN!!! I am such a klutz..I said a few choice words..when it happened..probably woke the neighbors..LOL

This morning I am heading over to Hava and Matt's to be with baby Sam. I'm glad he is still a baby..chasing a toddler with a sore foot would not be fun!

The girls came over yesterday..Molly was great at first but got into a bit of a mood when Morgan and Chelsey arrived. I think she is actually jealous of the puppy..as strange as that sounds.. KIDS..they are too much sometimes. Morgan was in a mood the whole time..she can be such a pistol. RUDE..and FRESH. I'd like to have them both for about a month..they would straighten out believe you me. : )

So in 26 more sleeps...Ahhhhhh.. I can't wait to get the frig out of here. I feel kind of bad today .. My friend Gabriel Pean..(who is a great music fan and a lover of PEI and Cape Breton) has taken sick and is in Beth Israel Hospital. He is unable to walk..so scary..He does have some sort of degenerative nerve disease in his spine, but this just came on suddenly. They are doing all kinds of tests to try and find what caused this. Today Gabe was supposed to be leaving for a trip up to PEI..so I feel really bad for him. Prayers appreciated for his speedy recovery. WHAT THE HECK why is everyone getting sick? Lets call a truce here and stop all of this!

Could it be pirates again? I have kind of let my guard down..maybe we should go for a fly..and scout the area. Peter we are calling on your help again. Pirates..I'll bet that's what is happening..a lousy pirate pushed me this morning I'll bet that's what happened...So be on the alert everyone..they have returned..we let our guard down.. So grab onto Peter's coat and go for a fly..watch out for pirates..give them a big push if you see one.. stay safe and remember

Wednesday..girlie day....

I was supposed to be taking care of Sam today but his mommy isn't feeling well so she stayed home from work. I will be picking up Molly and Morgan at 3:30ish for play time and dinner..Chelsey and I will probably take a drive over to the $$ store to get decorations for Brian's Parents 50th anniversary party..

Last night I talked with Donna Chaisson..Kenny is doing great now Donna and I had a great talk , catching up on all the news..then one of the trustees called on the house phone and I had to hand the phone over before Kenny could talk to me. Dan took over the phone so I could talk with the trustees and when I came back the battery had run out on the frigging phone so I never talked with him. Anyway all is well..all the tests showed was a bit of clogging in his arteries nothing bad came back. The Dr's feel that the sensations he had with his face were attributed ti Bells Palsy..which can be brought on by exhaustion..The man was working 18 to 20 hour days and was just worn out. All of this is much better than what all of us feared. So now he has orders from Dr's and Donna that he has to QUIT SMOKING..the sneaky little devil..and SLOW DOWN..and eat right!

In 28 days I will be back in Kingsboro I can't wait!!!! So my friends you all have yourselves a wonderful day.. Relax if you can...go out and make some memories..remember now

29 days...and a new concert booking!!!!

I am really excited to tell you all about this one ! On May 15th, 2010..the newly formed group from Portland Maine..calling themselves The Milliners will grace the hall at The Captain's House. Some of you may remember the talented Flute player Nicole Rabata that accompanied Ellery Klein at her concert last season. A few weeks back Nicole contacted me and told me about this new group..They have a CD in the making she asked if I would consider having them.. After hearing their demo there was absolutely no way I would say no thanks! The quartet is comprised of Christian Stevens, Matt Shipman, Nicole Rabata, Alden Robinson..I have not as yet figured out who plays what with the exception of Nicole..But they had a fiddle, a button accordion and a guitar..Just perfect traditional music!! So save that date all I'll put up a photo as soon as one comes my way!


Yesterday I made the calls to set up phone service at the house on PEI, contacted my auto insurance company and got that info all set up..so things are moving along nicely. I still have to get in touch with Kenny to see if he is able to open things up at the house. If he's not feeling well yet I'll have to get someone else.

Chelsey has a busy month ahead of her. Trips to NYC with her class, two recitals for the girls..and a visit from Brian's Mom and Dad in celebration of their 50th anniversary. She called in a panic last night but we'll get it done..not to worry. Gabe's band has a big gig coming up on Fathers Day so that day is booked. Amy's birthday is the 24th and I want to do something special for her. Busy month will mean time will FLY.. So fly away..

Yesterday I sat down with Richard the fellow who is taking over here at the house for July and August. he's good..it will be a perfect fit. I feel really good about him. Nice guy!

Aside from all this blabber not much. I am taking care of Sam Wednesday, Thursday and Friday again this week..not like its a hard job. The girlies will come here on Wednesday after school and have dinner ..So it's shaping up to be a busy week..

I will be in KINGSBORO!!!!! Oh my goodness I can't wait! Heard from Julie today that she and J J have sold their Mini-Home.. That means we will be able to help get them settled into their new place this summer!!!! I am thrilled about that. They have done so much to help us out now we can help them!

Can't wait to get started! Knowing those two they will be hauling the mini-home away when the new house is having the final timbers hammered into place. So exciting for them!!

So had a great weekend with Margie and Jim..They are delightful folks. Looking forward to their visit to PEI. Can't wait to show them the island and to show them off to all of our friends on the island. Margie's talent on piano will wow them at the fiddle festival and Jim's guitar playing will also be in demand I am certain.

Getting the oil changed in the truck today.. Have made arrangements to have the phone service put back on..have to wait for Maritime Electric to see how to set up payment of that bill..I am ten miles ahead of the truck already... CAN'T WAIT TO GET HOME!!! Of course my friend Maurine who lives across the road has been teasing me all spring saying that she has saved up a dump truck full of snow which she is going to dump on my deck as a welcome home.. I am thinking that I should pack a shovel just in case.
